Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a method for treating organic sludge which can increase the methane ratio in digestion gas and decrease the amount of alkali to be added.
CONSTITUTION: Digestion gas obtained by the anaerobic digestion treatment of sludge of initial precipitation in the first anaerobic digestion tank 1 is blown into the second anaerobic digestion tank 4 which conducts the anaerobic digestion treatment of excessive sludge treated with hot alkali to obtain digestion gas having a higher methane ratio than conventional digestion gas. In the second invention, the concentrated digested sludge which is obtained by the solid-liquid separation of the digested sludge in the first anaerobic digestion tank 4, after being fed into a hot alkali treatment tank 3 with excessive sludge, is fed into the second anaerobic digestion tank 4 and then subjected to the anaerobic digestion treatment in an alkali condition, so that the amount of alkali can be reduced as compared with a conventional method.
