To provide a method and an apparatus for treating sludge, improved in work efficiency in operation management in supplying a dehydration aid.
[1] The method for treating sludge includes steps for (1) measuring the volume and concentration of sludge in a sludge storage tank, (2) measuring the volume and concentration of sludge additionally supplied into the sludge storage tank, (3) computing the solid amount of sludge in the sludge storage tank and the amount of the dehydration aid to be added from the steps (1) and (2), and (4) batch-supplying the computed amount of the dehydration aid to the sludge in the sludge storage tank by a supply mechanism. [2] A method is provided for individually computing the amount of the dehydration aid corresponding to the solid amount of sludge added to the sludge storage tank, and the amount of the dehydration aid for the sludge to be dehydrated first, and supplying the amount of the dehydration aid corresponding to each sludge individually into each sludge. [3] The method for treating sludge includes steps for (1) measuring the volume and concentration of sludge supplied to a dehydration step, (2) computing the amount of the dehydration aid to be added per unit time to the sludge from the step (1), (3) supplying the amount of the dehydration aid computed in the step (2) to the sludge in at least one location selected from the sludge storage tank, a sludge passage, a sludge measuring tank and a coagulation tank by the supply mechanism.
