To provide a method capable of effectively utilizing sludgy waste such as carbide slag, especially turning its properties to advantage.
A land reclaiming material can be produced having strength enough to be usable for land reclamation, for example, to secure 2 kgf/cm2 uniaxial compressive strength and/or 2 to 5% Californian bearing ratio (CBR), by solidifying the carbide slag into a block through mixing cement of 110 to 160 kg/m3 with the carbide slag of 1 m3, for example. A land is filled in with the blocks carried by truck to the reclaimed site such as a seashore and then dropped one after another to the bottom of the sea. Alternatively, a disposal site where the carbide slag is reclaimed is connected with a pipeline to the reclaimed site such as a seashore, and the carbide slag is force-fed through the pipeline from the disposal site to the bottom of the sea by means of a reciprocating concrete pump, for example, wherein cement is added to the slag as powdered cement or cement milk and mixed in, before or after force feeding through the pipeline.
