Abstract:

To provide a new method for treating a waste gas in a carbonization apparatus by which safe operation of the apparatus can be achieved and a maintenance cost can be reduced by preventing the formation of a clinker in the carbonization apparatus; and to provide a mechanism of the treatment.

The method for treating the waste gas involves feeding combustion air to be subjected to the combustion at an afterburning furnace 2 to the interior of a flue duct 14 communicating with a rotary drum 10 in the operation of the carbonization apparatus comprising charging a material to be treated into the rotary drum 10 in the carbonization apparatus 1, feeding the hot air to the rotary drum 10 to carbonize the material to be treated, introducing the waste gas G discharged from the rotary drum 10 to the afterburning furnace 2 to carry out a burning treatment of the waste gas G, and discharging the treated waste gas to the exterior. The method can prevent the formation of the clinker because the dust attached to the flue duct 14 is not melted because the atmosphere temperature in the flue duct 14 is decreased.
