To provide a method of treating a liquid waste containing several metals and a method of recovering valuable metals.
This method of treating the liquid waste containing several metals in the first reaction tank performs a step to supply the acid liquid waste continuously to the first reaction tank, neutralize the supplied liquid waste and adjust the pH of the neutralized liquid waste to ≥3 and <6, a step to add iron oxidizing bacteria to the pH-adjusted liquid waste and adjust the ferrous concentration to ≤150 mg/L, a step to agitate the iron-oxidized liquid waste by blowing air or oxygen into the first reaction tank and a step to separate the metal hydroxide particles generated in the liquid waste by solid-liquid separation and supply the separated liquid to the second reaction tank. Then, this method of treating the liquid waste containing several metals in the second reaction tank performs a step to neutralize the liquid waste supplied from the first reaction tank and adjust the pH of the liquid waste to ≥6 and ≤10, a step to agitate the pH-adjusted liquid waste by blowing air or oxygen into the second reaction tank and a step to separate the metal hydroxide particles generated in the liquid waste by solid-liquid separation and discharge the separated liquid to the outside.
