Abstract:
PURPOSE: To decompose and remove ammoniac nitrogen and COD components included in waste water as pollution sources by a relatively simple treatment.
CONSTITUTION: On treating a waste water (contg. regenerated water of an ion exchange resin used for a water-condensing and desalting apparatus), the waste water contg. ammoniac nitrogen is electrolysed by using an insoluble anode and an alkali-resistant cathode while it is controlled at pH of 8-12 in the presence of chloride ion to decompose and remove the ammoniac nitrogen.
