Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain graft-processed cloth having high grafting ratio, high bulkiness and excellent water absorption properties.
CONSTITUTION: Active hydrogen containing yarn or its structural material is heat-treated with a treating solution comprising a water-soluble polymerizable monomer to be copolymerized with a vinyl monomer containing a glycoside at the side chain, an acid and water. Glucosylethyl methacrylate is preferable as the vinyl monomer containing a glycoside at the side chain.
