To provide a method and a unit for easily and accurately controlling pouring quantity of molten metal from a molten metal pouring furnace into a ladle for a molten metal pouring facility.
The molten metal pouring facility is composed of the molten metal pouring furnace 10 having a pouring hole 11 and storing the molten metal, an opening/closing member 14 for opening/closing the pouring hole and the ladle 17 for pouring the molten metal from the furnace into a mold 19. The control unit for controlling the pouring quantity, is composed of detecting means 36, 38 for detecting the increased quantity of the molten metal at each unit time in the ladle, a memory 40 for storing delay time of the opening/closing member and motive pressure acted on the ladle due to the poured molten metal, a calculating means 42 for calculating a preset quantity based on signals from the detecting means and the memory, and output parts 44, 46 for outputting the signal for driving the opening/closing member based on the signal from the calculating means and the set-load of the ladle input from an inputting means 48.
