A sensor SE is provided with a height sensor SE for detecting the height of sediment stored in a hopper HO; information on the amount of the sediment stored in a hopper HO, corresponding to the height of the stored sediment, is preacquired in the at least partial height area of the hopper HO; the height of the stored sediment is measured by the height sensor SE during the operation of the sediment push-in equipment SS; and the flow rate Q of the sediment pushed into the transport pipe P from the sediment push-in equipment SS is computed on the basis of a measured value and the above information.
