To simply cut through and scrape away bulk cargo such as wood ships remaining upright along an inner wall of a cargo hold.
Wood chips in a cargo hold 11 is unloaded up to a predetermined depth by means of a crane 3 with a glove. Then, wood chips 4 remain in an upright wall-like shape, along the inner wall parts of the cargo hold 11. Accordingly, air-bags 16 are inflated while compressed air is blown off from air nozzles 17 so as to cut through and scrape off the wood chips 4 in the upright wall-like shape under the pressures thereof. Thus the wood chips 4 scraped off are unloaded by the crane. With the repetitions of the above- mentioned steps, the wood chips 4 in the cargo hold 11 can be unloaded in its substantially entirety by means of the crane 3.
