Abstract:

To solve the problems such as difficulties in precise measurement of a urine specimen collected from a subject and left in the atmosphere because multiplying endogenous/exogenous germs change the constituents of the urine specimen and some components in the sample are unstable to oxygen or light.

In this collection/preservation method for a urine specimen, the collected urine specimen is filtrated and sterilized through a filtration filter and collected into a collection container by a negative pressure of the collection container sealed in a negative pressure. The filtration filter is made of a material having lower adsorption to the urine specimen components and the pore size is chosen such that it allows passage of the specimen while preventing passage of germs.
