To improve energy use efficiency by manufacturing reformed blast furnace gas by removing and separating CO2 from blast furnace gas, and effectively combining the reformed blast furnace gas, coke oven gas and converter gas in a steel mill for use.
In the method of using blast furnace gas, the reformed blast furnace gas of high calorific value manufactured by carrying out oxygen enriching blast furnace gas besides removal and separation of CO2 from blast furnace gas of low calorific value is substituted for a part or all of any one or more kinds of blast furnace gas, coke oven gas, converter gas and LPG used as any one or more kinds of fuel gas out of air-heating furnace fuel gas, coke oven fuel gas and power generating fuel gas. A part or all of the economized coke oven gas is blasted from a blast furnace tuyere and used as a reducing agent in a blast furnace or used as reducing gas for reducing iron ore.
