To wave the hair in such a manner that the end is tightly waved and the root is softly waved by mounting a hollow curler so as to cover a rod having the hair wound thereon while passing a slit through the wound hair, and rolling the curler toward the root direction of the hair.

The hair is wound from the end while nipping a paper by use of a rod 1, and a hollow curler 2 is mounted so as to cover the rod 1 on which the hair is wound in the middle. At that time, the hollow curler 2 is mounted on the rod 1 so that the slit part of the hollow curler 2 passes the hair wound on the rod 1. Further, the hollow curler 2 is wound to the root of the hair and stopped, and a permanent liquid for fixing the hair is applied thereon, whereby the hair is waved. The hair can be waved so that the end of the hair is waved tightly, and the root part is softly waved.
