To provide a method for weaving a three dimensional woven fabric, capable of weaving the three dimensional woven fabric having a large size and high density.
This three dimensional woven fabric constituted by an X-yarn, a Y-yarn and a Z-yarn crossing each other in right angle, is woven by arranging plural knitting needles 6 in aligning them in X- and Y-directions, inserting the X-yarn 1 from a starting end to final end in X-direction as zigzag by deviating at positions as appropriate between the knitting needles 6, returning the X-yarn 1 from the final end to the starting end as zigzag by deviating at the positions as appropriate in the following process, then inserting the Y-yarn 2 in Y-direction similarly to the above X-direction to form a 1 layered woven fabric A consisting of the X-yarn 1 and Y-yarn 2, repeating the above series of processes and piling up the woven fabrics A consisting of the X-yarn 1 and Y-yarn 2 to weave a three dimensional woven fabric having a desired thickness, then grasping the Z-yarn 3 with each of the knitting needles and pulling through it in the direction of crossing at right angle with the woven fabric A.
