PURPOSE: To weld a sheet strip to a sheet base metal simply and surely by condenser discharge stud welding by forming a projection at planned position of a weld face.

CONSTITUTION: A projection 3 is formed on the weld face of a sheet base metal using a tool such as punch etc. A sheet strip 2 charged in a welding gun of a condenser discharge stud welding machine is positioned on the base metal 1, and welding current is let flow between the base metal 1 and strip 2 through the projection 3. An arc is generated by this, and the strip 2 is pressed against the base metal 1, and the strip is deposited to the base metal 1. By this way, welding strength and finished state of the weld zone between the sheet base metal 1 and sheet strip 2 are improved.
