Abstract:
PURPOSE:To easily enhance productivity and weld-strength by cooling the outer surface of a wheel-rim together with welding a wheel-rim and a wheel-disc from inside by means of a welding torch while both the rim and the disc and a combination of a torch and a cooling part are being relatively rotated. CONSTITUTION:A rim 3 is mounted on a disc 2, which is fixd on the rotary plate 1A of a rotation-driving-equipment 1, while a welding torch 4 is placed inside both the disc 2 and the rim 3 so that the torch 4 faces the welding part. While the rotary plate 1A is being rotated, water is spouted from a cooling water nozzle 6, and the welding part is welded in the peripheral direction by means of the torch 4, during which time the welding part is cooled off by the cooling water. With this constitution, both productivity and weld-strength can be enhanced.
