To provide a winding method to obtain a package with good unwinding nature with regard to a synthetic fiber yarn package having a few filaments and thick single yarn fineness.

The method of winding a yarn includes increasing the number of spindle rotations in ring rail elevation, based on the number of spindle rotations when ring rail is located at the bottom during the winding of yarn around a bobbin, reducing the number of spindle rotations on lowering ring rail, rolling up the yarn by parallel winding of the top winding angle being ≤5 degree, and then shifting to combination winding, so that the winding angle of upper inclination yarn layer of the rolled-up package is ≤18 degree.
