To provide a precedent wiring system corresponding to multimedia and capable of simply executing the grade-up of wiring up to the wiring of a LAN.
A multimedia port 1 is constituted of a router 2 with an ISDN hub, a relay terminal board 3 and a DSU 4 provided with analog ports and including a TA function which are arranged in parallel in its board. Each of multimedia plug sockets 5a arranged in a room is provided with two analog telephone modular plug sockets 61a, 62a and an ISDN modular jack 7a, one end of a cable 8 having four pairs of lines and corresponding to a category '5' is connected to each modular jack 7a, two pairs of lines 81 in the cable 8 are used for outgoing lines, and two pairs of lines 82 in the cable 8 are used for incoming lines. A cable 9 consisting of two pairs of twisted pair lines corresponding to the modular plug sockets 61a, 62a is wired correspondingly to each multimedia plug socket 5a.
