Abstract:
PURPOSE:To easily and inexpensively attain convex lens working without grinding the end face of a plastic fiber. CONSTITUTION:A metallic pipe 2 is fixed on a prescribed position from the end face of the plastic fiber 1 as a fixing tool and the end face exposed part 10 of the fiber 1 is heated and melted by a gas burner 3 so as to attain the convex lens working of the end face of the fiber 1.
