Abstract:
PURPOSE: To efficiently make a plurality of knurled grooves with a plurality of tools at the same time, by securing the tools at a knurling pitch.
CONSTITUTION: Four tools 8 are adjusted with interposed spacers 11 so that the tools are placed at the intervals of knurled grooves and the tips of the tools are put in contact with a roll 1. After that, the tools 8 are secured by bolts and nut 12 on the tool rest 9 of a roll lathe 7 to knurl the roll 1. Since the four tools 8 are used, four grooves are cut at the same time.
