Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent tarnish caused by manual handling and contact with abrasives in a lens working process.
SOLUTION: Centering by a diamond grindstone 12 shown in (b) of Fig. 1 is taken place after a curve generator process by a cup type diamond grindstone 2 shown in (a), then a coating process indicated in (c) is performed to form a coating film D1 on a side circumferential face T1 of a workpiece W1. When fine grinding and grinding of a spherical face S1 are carried out in 4th and 5th processes shown in (d) and (e), generation of tarnish is avoidable without manual handling to fit to or remove from a lens holder 21 and without direct contact of a polishing fluid 33 with the side circumferential face T1 of the workpiece W1.
