Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enable the slice working of a ball cut at the orientation flat plane of a Z-axis LiTaO3 single crystal or a Z-axis LiNbO3 single crystal with a high accuracy in high yield.
CONSTITUTION: A Z-axis LiTaO3 single crystal ball or a Z-axis LiNbO3 single crystal ball is subjected to the slice working in the direction within the range of ±45° relatively to the X-axis direction of the single crystal ball regardless of the position for forming the orientation flat plane. Thereby, the influence of the cleavage plane can be removed.
