Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of cracks, to reduce weight, and to materialize prescribed strength by a method in which the surface of formed polystyrene is covered with a glass fiber mesh, and a substrate material in which an acrylate and cement the amount of which is a specified wt.% of the acrylate are mixed and agitated is applied or sprayed on the mesh, dried, and solidified.
SOLUTION: The surface 2 of a base material 1 of polystyrene foam which was cut in a prescribed shape using a heating wire is covered with a glass fiber mesh 3 in which glass fibers are spread in a mesh shape. A substrate material 4 in which 10-20wt.% of cement powder is mixed into a liquid acrylic resin is agitated, applied on the mesh 3 by troweling or spraying, dried, and solidified to form a coating layer 5. A decorative finishing agent 6 is applied or sprayed on the layer 5 to form a prescribed decoration. In this way, the generation of cracks is prevented, weight is reduced, prescribed strength can be materialized, and work efficiency can improve.
