Abstract:
To provide a method and apparatus for a smart card system for integrating important travel-related application safely and conveniently.
In one embodiment, the smart card system includes a card holder identification application and various additional applications useful in particular travel contexts: for example, airline, hotel, rental car, and payment-related applications. Furthermore, memory space and security features within specific applications provide partner organizations (e.g., airlines, hotel chains, and rental car agencies) with the ability to construct customized and high security file structures.
