Abstract:

To provide methods and devices capable of efficiently culturing microalgae while suppressing diffusion of carbon dioxide to the atmosphere.SOLUTION: A method for culturing microalgae and a culture device 1 are disclosed. The culture method cultures microalgae while adjusting the concentration of carbonate substance in a culture fluid S according to the microalgal concentration (α) and/or the dissolved gas concentration (β) in the culture fluid S. The culture device 1 comprises a culture vessel 10 for containing the culture fluid S, a measuring means 20 that measures the microalgal concentration (α) and/or the dissolved gas concentration (β) in the culture fluid S, and an adjusting means 30 for adjusting the concentration of carbonate substance in the culture fluid S according to the microalgal concentration (α) and/or the dissolved gas concentration (β) in the culture fluid S.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
