PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a method, device and system for determining a space area where a target is located.SOLUTION: A method of determining a space area where a target is located includes a step of receiving a position parameter of the target within a space including one or more space areas characterized by a plurality of key point position points and a step of determining a space area where the target is located, on the basis of the position parameter of the target and position parameters of key point position points characterizing the space areas. A method of characterizing a space area includes a step of acquiring a series of position points within the space area and a step of extracting a key point position point characterizing the space area from a series of position points.
