To provide a method for manufacturing a metallic tube to which a sensor for registering damage to the tube and sending a signal is attached to be protected, and the metallic tube.SOLUTION: In a method for manufacturing a metallic tube, the metallic tube comprises a metallic outside tube and a metallic inside tube 1; a groove part 4 is drawing-processed in an inside surface of the outside tube or an outside surface 2 of the inside tube; subsequently, the inside and outside tubes are drawing-processed together through a drawing die; and inside dimensions of the outside tube are reduced so that the outside tube can be pressure-fitted to the inside tube after drawing processing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
