Abstract:

In the production of a multichamber plastic packaging tube comprising tube body, tube head and one or more dividing walls: (a) a dividing wall is located on a mandrel together with a tube body; (b) a quantity of molten plastic material is fed into a die (11); (c) the mandrel and die are brought together to mould the tube head and simultaneously join it to the tube body by melting the edges of a second part of the dividing wall to the inner surface of the tube head; and (d) the long edges of a first part of the dividing wall are welded onto the inner surface of the tube body.
