Abstract:
To provide a method capable of detecting and adjusting positions of shaft cores of a transfer film supply roll, a transfer film winding roll, an ink ribbon supply roll and an ink ribbon winding roll, in equipment such as a card issuing device and a thermal transfer printer.SOLUTION: A method of measuring a position of a roll shaft core includes the steps of: disposing a light-transmissive spherical object on which a reflective material is attached to half of its surface, in the center of an engagement part of a drive shaft, by directing a light-transmissive part of the light-transmissive spherical object to a side of the engagement receiving part; and irradiating the light-transmissive spherical object with laser irradiation light along a shaft core position that is an adjustment target at a predetermined position with respect to a roll fixing mechanism, from a cassette wall surface side where a roll is fixed in a freely rotatable manner, to a hollow in the roll, after engaging the engagement receiving part with the engagement part ahead of a roll drive shaft of the equipment, and capturing the reflection on the cassette wall surface side in order to measure a distance and a direction between the laser irradiation light and the reflection.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
