Abstract:
To provide automated systems for emergency roll-in cots which may provide easy loading into emergency vehicles.SOLUTION: A power ambulance cot 10 has a cot actuation system to control independent raising and lowering of front legs 20 and back legs 40 of the cot 10, and detects the presence of a signal requesting a change in elevation of a support frame 12 thereof and causes the cot control system to raise or lower the front legs 20 and/or back legs 40 automatically upon detecting a condition during loading/unloading a patient from an emergency vehicle or transporting the patient up or down an escalator.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
