Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a new compound, having suppressing action on the bone destruction and useful as an antiinflammatory agent, antirheumatic agent and an agent for bone metabolic disease, etc.
CONSTITUTION: This compound of formula I {X and Y are halogen, nitro, nitrile, alkyl, alkoxy, trifluoromethyl, etc.; A is (CH2)a-(CH=CH)b-(CH2)c [(a) is 0-10; (b) is 0-2; (c) is 1-10], (CH=CH)d-CH: [(d) is 0-2, in this case, B is absent]; B is H, alkyl, amino, etc.; R1 to R4 are H, 1-7C alkyl or cation; (m) is 0-3; (n) is 0-4}, e.g. tetraethyl 2-[3-methoxy-4-hydroxy-1-naphthyl] ethene-1,1- diphosphonate. Furthermore, the compound of formula I is obtained by reacting a compound of formula II or III with a diphosphonate compound of formula IV.
