Abstract:
To provide a Mg alloy article that has high corrosion resistance, and to provide a method for manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: The Mg alloy article according to the present invention has an alloy composition that comprises three or more elements including Mg of 85 atomic % or more and 98 atomic % or less, element E1 of 1 atomic % or more and 10 atomic % or less, and element E2 of 0.02 atomic % or more and less than 10 atomic %, and in which, characterized, the E1 is an element having an oxidation potential exceeding the oxidation potential of the Mg, the E2 is an element other than the Mg and the E1, the surface of the article is coated with an oxide film, the oxide film is a Mg-containing oxide film formed under the oxide film of E1, and the article has an E1 extracted layer having a low abundance of E1 in the lower layer of the Mg oxide film.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2A
