Abstract:
To provide a magnesium-lithium alloy excellent in both of strength and corrosion resistance, and a manufacturing method therefor.SOLUTION: A magnesium-lithium alloy with a solid solution body single phase having a body-centered cubic structure is cut and divided equally. A surface of equally divided two magnesium-lithium alloy is mechanically polished, and defatted by acetone (organic solvent). The mechanically polished surface is jointed and two magnesium-lithium alloys are overlaid on a channel die (mold with a U-shape). It is pressed and compression jointed. Cutting, polishing, defatting, overlaying, compression jointing and large stain processing are set as one cycle. By increasing the cycle number of the large stain processing, a magnesium-lithium alloy excellent in both of strength and corrosion resistance can be obtained without changing an alloy composition.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
