Abstract:

To provide an MgCu-based ferrite powder for a microwave absorption heating element which causes rapid temperature rising up to a temperature of about 200C most suitable for heating foods, and stops temperature rising when a predetermined temperature of about 200-300C is attained.

The MgCu ferrite powder consists of 46-51 mol% iron in terms of FeO, 2-15 mol% copper in terms of CuO and the balance magnesium oxide with inevitable impurities, and the average particle size of the MgCu ferrite powder is confined to a range of 3-500 m.
