Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent the efficiency of a generator from decreasing by cooling electrode pieces by a cooling tube, thereby eliminating excess heat stress at the electrodes, generating channels and tube and obviating the disorder of high temperature gas flow. CONSTITUTION:A pair of circular electrodes 107 radially spaced in annular electrode containing grooves formed on the passage 103 side of generating channels 101a, 101b. The electrodes 107 are divided into a plurality of circular electrode pieces 107a... which are composed of plate-shaped caps 107b facing the passage 103 and a cooler 107c made of a heat conductive material contacted with the back surface side of the cap 107b. The cooler 107c is formed with a circular cooling tube inserting groove 107d, and the tube is inserted into the groove. The pieces 107a are cooled by the cooling medium flowing through the tube.
