Abstract:
To provide mica powder for creating the fineness of the skin, having good adhesivity to the skin, exhibiting excellent transparency and luster on the skin and giving good feeling such as smoothness in use.
Mica powder having high adhesion coefficient, low specific whiteness and high transparency is produced by preparing mica powder having an aspect ratio (A) of ≥40 and an (A/h) ratio of ≥120 [μm-1] ((h) is the thickness of the powder) and uniformizing the particle size by decreasing the content of fine powder to <1 wt.%. The obtained cosmetic powder has good adhesivity and spreadability on the skin, imparting the skin with transparent luster and giving good feeling in use.
