Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact high current source, including a homopolar generator formed integrally on a substrate.
SOLUTION: An electronic circuit can also be arranged on the substrate, for example, having the homopolar generator on a single integrated circuit. The electronic circuit can be coupled to the unipolar dynamo, to generate a pulsed high current output from a continuous lower current input. The electronic circuit has at least one electrically controlled switch for alternately connecting the homopolar generator to a current source to a load. A controller can be used to generate the control signal.
