Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a micro thermal imaging system for consistently measuring temperatures of internal components for a gas turbine engine.SOLUTION: A turbine engine also includes a plurality of internal components (124, 125, 236, 238, 240, 246) coupled to one of a compressor section, a combustor section, a turbine section 108 and a drive shaft 115. The turbine engine also includes at least one micro infrared sensor coupled to at least one of the plurality of internal components. The micro infrared sensor (270) is configured to detect a surface temperature of the plurality of internal components (124, 125, 236, 238, 240, 246).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
