Title:
MICROBE PROPAGATION PREVENTION DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2000028258
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To completely prevent microbes from propagating in an object by holding the ion concentration of gas in decomposed ozone at a specific rate or above to the ion concentration in the gas ionized by an ionization chamber and supplying the gas to a storage space of the object where microbes propagate.

Gas 1 of the outside is taken in from a supply opening 22a by a fan 21, and introduced into an ionization chamber 23 by means of a ventilation passage 22. AC voltage is impressed between a metal needle electrode 2 and a metal plate grounding electrode 25 installed on a dielectric 26 so as to face it for discharging electrons, and ionizing oxygen molecules or the like of the gas 1. At this point, because an ozone decomposition chamber 28 is electrically insulated from the ventilation passage 22 by an insulator 29, ions generated in the ionization chamber 23 will not be re-combined in the ozone decomposition chamber 28. Then, gas 27 ionized in the ionization chamber 23 is introduced into the ozone decomposition chamber 28, and propagation of microbes is prevented by using ionized gas 30 while maintaining the ozone concentration thereof at 1/10 or above.
