Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL: An immunosuppressant L-683519 showing positive inhibition of T-cell activation in T-cell propagation assay and having a proton nuclear magnetic spectrum of a drawing having a mol. wt. measured by FAB mass spectrum analysis of 789.
USE: A therapeutic agent of autoimmunity or an infectious disease.
PROCESS: Microorganism unidentified Actinomycete (MA 6474) ATCC No. 53828 is cultured in a nitrogen nutrient-containing aq. carbohydrate culture medium under submerged aerobic conditions such as shaking culture conditions in the presence of a macrolide immunosuppressant L-679934 at a pH of 8 or less pref. at 25-35°C to be fermented and, thereafter, the immunosuppressant is recovered from the culture medium by a usual method.
