Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain an industrial microbicidal composition capable of preventing the putrefaction and staining of an industrial material or product caused by fungi and bacteria by the addition of a small amount of the composition to the material or product and free from discoloration of the industrial material and product with the microbicidal agent.

CONSTITUTION: This industrial microbicidal composition contains zinc-2- pyridionethiol-1-oxide and one or more compounds selected from 2,3,3-triiodoallyl alcohol, diiodomethyl-p-tolylsulfone and 3-iodo-2-propynylbutyl carbamate or contains methyl 2-benzimidazolecarbamate and 2,3,3-triiodoallyl alcohol as active components.
