To provide a toner particle containing a plurality of microcapsules, with which a color image is formed, and to provide a method and an apparatus for forming a color image using the toner particles without complicating the management of consumables.
A plurality of dye precursors 10a, 10b and 10c different in color developability and auxiliary materials 9 are arranged inside respective microcapsules MCy, MCm and MCc having respective capsule walls wherein photoisomerization materials different in photoresponsiveness are arranged, and a full color particle FMCT is constituted by dispersedly mixing these microcapsules MCy, MCm and MCc, developer 3 and the auxiliary materials 4, etc., in toner resin 2. After developing an electrostatic latent image formed on a photoreceptor 21 by using the full color particle FMCT, 1st light beams R1a, R1b and R1c capable of photoisomerizing three kinds of photoisomerization materials are respectively emitted through developing light writing heads 27a, 27b and 27c in accordance with full color recording data. The full color particle FMCT is transferred to a sheet, thereafter, thermally fixed.
