Abstract:
To provide a microcapsule capable of reducing fish eyes in a produced vinyl polymer.SOLUTION: The microcapsule has a core/shell structure, the shell contains a water-soluble polymer, and the core contains an organic peroxide. The water-soluble polymer is preferably at least one selected from the group consisting of a polyvinyl alcohol, gelatin, a poly(meth)acrylic acid derivative, polyvinylpyrrolidone, and polyethylene oxide. The polyvinyl alcohol is preferably a partially saponified polyvinyl alcohol having a degree of saponification of 80 mol% or more and 99.5 mol% or less and an average degree of polymerization of 1,500 or more and 3,500 or less.SELECTED DRAWING: None
