PURPOSE: To obtain a color filter without color mixture, by providing a black and white halogenated silver emuslion layer on supporting materials and forming the first color pattern by a coupler-in-developer type coloring development after the first pattern exposure and providing the second dye pattern after the second pattern exposure.
CONSTITUTION: A fine particle black and white halogenated silver emulsion layer 22 is provided on supporting materials 20, 21 such as a transparent film and a solid photographing element wafer. Then, an image is exposed 34 as expressed by arrows through a transparent pattern 33 of a photomask 30 in which an optical untransmitting part 32 (a chromum mask) is provided on a glass plate 31. A photographic material for which the exposure 34 is finished is subjected to a coupling by a developer containing a cyan dye developing agent and is subjected to the first color-in-developer type coloring development to obtain a pattern 35 consisting of a cyan dye and silver particle. Further, an image is exposed through a transparent pattern 43 of a photomask 40 and is subjected to the second color-in-developer type coloring development to obtain a pattern 44. Patterns 35, 45 and undeveloped 34 silver particle are bleached to obtain a microcolor filter making a prescribed color image.
