Title:
MICROCOMPUTER FOR AUTOMOBILE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5822407
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To secure the normal operation of a microcomputer even if a battery voltage is low, by varying a clock freuquecy in accordance with the battery voltage. CONSTITUTION:A microcompute 33 composed of an integrated circuit consists of a control arithmetic part 35, a quartz oscillating circuit 36, and a frequency dividing circuit 37. The arithmetic part 35 operates synchronizing with a clock signal and when the voltage of the power source 31 of the arithmetic part 35 drops below a certain level, a voltage detecting circuit 34 detects that. In accordance with the voltage detecting operation of the circuit 34, the circuit 37 decreases the frequency of the clock signal, and the computer 33 performs irreducible minimum operation for engine starting.
