Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fine chabazite type zeolite having a small average particle diameter and a large outer surface area, a method for producing the same, and application thereof.SOLUTION: In a fine chabazite type zeolite, a TEM-average particle diameter or a SEM-average particle diameter is ≥0.02 μm and <0.05 μm, and the outer surface area is ≥80 m/g. In a method for producing a fine chabazite type zeolite, a reaction liquid is prepared by adding a seed crystal comprising a chabazite type zeolite of ≥0.05 to ≤20 wt.% with respect to the weight of SiOand AlOin a mixed liquid, into the mixed liquid containing a silica source, an alumina source, an N,N,N-trimethyladamantane ammonium compound and water, and the reaction liquid is held at a temperature of ≥60°C to ≤115°C for ≥400 to ≤2,000 hours. Further, a catalyst containing a chabazite type catalyst, and a method for producing a lower olefin using the catalyst for a dehydration condensation reaction of an oxygenate are also provided.
