To provide polymers, rubbers, lubricants, coatings, etc. which have highly beneficial characteristics such as fluidity, consistency, shear stability, and thickening effect.

The invention relates to a composition comprising at least one microgel, at least one functional additive, and at least one mineral oil, which is an organic non-crosslinkable medium. The microgel is selected from among polybutadiene, butadiene/acrylic acid/C1-4 alkylester copolymers, polyisoprene, styrene/butadiene copolymers containing styrene of 1-60 wt.%, carboxylated styrene/butadiene copolymers, etc. The primary particles of the microgel have spherical geometries with an average particle diameter less than 99 nm. The invention also relates to a method of preparing the composition.
