Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a microorganism belonging to the genus Streptomyces (FERM P-1.5869), capable of decomposing polylactate resin without exhausting gases in contrast to the incineration treatment, saving the time compared with land disposal and having extremely high value from the viewpoint of waste processing.
SOLUTION: A microorganism belonging to the genus Streptomyces and capable of decomposing polylactate resin (FERM P-15869), preferably Streptomyces violaceusniger or Streptomyces cyaneus is separated from the soil, river water or lake water collected in the Tsukuba City, Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan.
