Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microscope whose constitution is simplified and which is provided with a compact and inexpensive observation system with spot illumination.
SOLUTION: Vertical illumination light from the vertical illumination light source 27 of a microscope main body 21 is split into a reflection light path 291 and a transmission light path 292 by a light path splitting cube 29. Then, one of the paths 291 and 292 can be shielded by a shutter 30. When the path 291 is shielded by the shutter 30, the spot illumination image of a sample 23 by the vertical illumination light passed through the path 292 is fetched by an eyepiece unit 31 so that a defective part can be observed by an eyepiece 34 and a TV camera 35. When the path 292 is shielded by the shutter 30, the observation image of the sample 23 by the vertical illumination light passed through the optical path 291 is similarly fetched by the unit 31 so as to realize the observation of high magnification.
