Abstract:
PURPOSE:To reduce the weight of a gate type support arm and cut off vibration which operates on the microscope by making the gate type support arm straddle a stage in an arcuate shape, and fixing its leg parts to a base. CONSTITUTION:The gate type arm 7 is constituted straddling the stage 4 from the front side to the rear side of a user to form the gentle arcuate shape having a large radius from a span center part 7a to both shoulder parts 7b along the Y-axial direction of the stage 4. Then the lower ends of the side wall 7c are fixed to the base 1. This microscope has a motor-driven revolver unit 11 which supports plural objectives 2 and switches them through electric motor operation and a lighting device 3 which lights a sample surface through the objective 2. Further, the microscope is provided with an extension relay lens barrel 14 which contains a relay optical system which extends the perpendicular optical axis of an image forming light beam to the position of a lens barrel 13 for observation and the lens barrel 13 for observation which is coupled with the tip of the extension relay lens barrel 14, fixed to the upper part, and equipped with the objective 12.
